Founded in 2022 by friends turned partners-Carolyn Ball-Pride, LaDenta Wright, and Carlos Wright-ECWC was built to reflect heritage, resilience, and excellence in every bottle.

With roots on both coasts and a shared love for the art of winemaking, the founders combined their business experience, passion for legacy-building, and belief in the power of representation to create a brand that elevates every occasion. Each wine in the collection-from bold red blends to radiant rosé and crisp whites-is thoughtfully crafted to celebrate flavor, storytelling, and lifestyle.

Carolyn Ball Pride

Co-Founder

Carolyn Ball-Pride is the co-founder of East Coast West Coast Bosses, a Black-owned wine brand blending bold vision with coast-to-coast flavor. Raised in Jacksonville, she brings decades of leadership experience, sales savvy, and a deep-rooted passion for building legacy. She's the voice behind the brand and the energy in the room—always pouring with purpose.

LaDenta Wright

Co-Founder

LaDenta Wright is the co-founder of East Coast West Coast Bosses and a retired USPS leader with 37 years of service. A proud Los Angeles native and CSUN graduate, she holds a degree in Public Administration and Criminal Justice. LaDenta’s passion for wine was sparked through travel, tasting experiences, and her desire to create something elegant and meaningful. Through ECWC, she brings her vision of representation, celebration, and legacy to life—one bottle at a time. Her favorite wine? The rosé—vibrant, refreshing, and full of personality, just like her.

Carlos Wright

Founding Partner & Strategic Advisor

Carlos Wright is a Founding Partner and Strategic Advisor at East Coast West Coast Bosses. As graduate of Cal State LA with a degree in Business Administration, Carlos is also the owner of Wrightway General Contractor and co-founder of Reading for the Cultures. His leadership, investment, and quiet influence make him the perfect namesake for Brilliance Brut (Carlos Champagne)—a celebration of legacy, loyalty, and bold vision.
